The learning objectives of the CSECP program and individual courses are to ensure each professional has the building blocks to become a proficient practitioner of compliance with export controls and sanctions. This includes understanding the regulations and were to find them, compliance with the regulations, and the enforcement of them. ISECS provides the only certification option that includes the enforcement of export controls and sanctions. The full curriculum can be found on the individual course webpages on this website.
There are no prerequisites to enroll in CSECP courses. Whether you are new to the career field, or a veteran, you will learn something from the ISECS courses. The developers of ISECS courses have served in industry and government for 20-45 years each.
Cost is dependent on which certificate courses are chosen but the CSECP professional title will be more cost effective than any other economic sanctions or export controls certification on the market. Please feel free to review the pricing page on the website.
The CSECP courses are self-paced. Students may complete courses within a few weeks or can take a few months based on individual preference and pace.
The Swedish Export Control Society is the oldest Society in the world dedicated to Export Controls. ISECS will honor the credential provided by the Swedish Society, which is also signed by the Government of Sweden, towards earning the CSECP. Those who have successfully completed the Swedish Certificate must only complete the U.S. certificate program to earn the CSECP.
ISECS’ educational courses are the only courses on the market developed by former international regulatory enforcement officials, who have monitored international trade throughout the world. They are uniquely qualified to help teach industry how to minimize the risk of government scrutiny through risk-based training, actual case studies, and personal experiences.
There is no need to continue to pay for continuous learning. Much like a driver’s license, you do not have to keep paying for the ability to be considered “certified”. To maintain the certification, a student can continue to attend ISECS Wednesday Webinars and participate in ISECS working groups, which are included with the ISECS yearly membership fee.
Former government officials deeply understand the purposes, priorities, and psychology of government agencies around the world, and only they can help develop training programs that will be universally respected and acknowledge as being authoritative.
Becoming “certified” through the International Sanctions and Export Control Society will provide immediate credibility in the world of compliance professionals from both industry and government perspectives.
